Publication Ethic

G-Sustain adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. The following sections outline the ethical responsibilities of Editors, Reviewers, and Authors.

Editor's Responsibilities

  1. Acknowledge receipt of new submissions within two business days and ensure a fair, timely, and confidential review process.
  2. Withdraw from handling a manuscript in the event of any conflict of interest.
  3. Protect reviewer anonymity and never disclose identities without permission.
  4. Not coerce authors into citing G-Sustain articles as a condition for acceptance.
  5. Implement corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when necessary.

Reviewer Responsibilities

  1. Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations within 14 days of assignment.
  2. Decline reviews where conflicts of interest exist or expertise is insufficient.
  3. Maintain confidentiality and never use manuscript content for personal benefit.
  4. Report suspected plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate publication to the editor.

Author's Responsibilities

  1. Ensure submitted work is original and not under review elsewhere.
  2. Report methods and findings accurately and honestly; retain raw data when possible.
  3. Disclose all funding sources and potential conflicts of interest.
  4. Credit all significant contributors as co-authors and obtain their final approval.
  5. Notify the editor promptly of major errors post-publication and cooperate in corrections or retractions.
