Peer Review Process
The journal applies a double-blind peer review process, in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous. Each submitted manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers based on originality, relevance to the scope, methodological rigor, and contribution to SDGs-related knowledge.
The editorial board makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts before acceptance. The review process typically takes 2–4 weeks.
- Editorial Check
G-Sustain Editorial Team will carry out basic checks to ensure that the submitted manuscript is under the scope of the Journal. Manuscripts that are outside the scope of the Journal will be immediately rejected.
- Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts will go through a plagiarism checker. G-Sustain uses the Turnitin tool to ensure the authenticity of submitted papers. Manuscripts containing the substance of plagiarism, dishonesty, or self-plagiarism, will be immediately rejected, with a similarity limit of more than 20%.
- Peer Review
G-Sustain applies a blind peer review system. In this process, the author’s identity (name, affiliation, and email address) remains anonymous to ensure the objectivity and integrity of the review process. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their academic quality. The peer review process generally takes two to four weeks, depending on the availability and policies of the editorial board. The outcome of this process determines the manuscript’s status. Where necessary, authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ comments and recommendations. The responsibility for completing revisions rests entirely with the author. Reviewers assess whether the submitted manuscript meets the academic criteria and publication standards established by G-Sustain. Based on the review results, reviewers provide one of the following editorial recommendations:
- Accepted. The manuscript is accepted and can be processed for publication without revision.
- Accepted with Revisions. The manuscript is accepted subject to revisions. Authors must complete the required revisions before the manuscript can proceed to publication.
Rejected. The manuscript is not accepted for publication as it does not meet the journal’s academic or editorial standards. Authors may resubmit a substantially revised manuscript as a new submission.
